The latest version of
FineCrypt is version 10.1

Version 10.1 introduces functionality
of exchanging public keys through key server. It's no longer
needed to send your public key to every of your communication partners
by email. Now it's sufficient to publish your public key on key server
and everyone, who wants to communicate with you, can get it at once
without delays for requesting it from you by email.

A new type of automatic tasks has
been added to Task Manager: sending email. Now it's possible to
encrypt a file on your computer and send it by email in fully
automatic mode.

The functionality of emailing
public keys and encrypted files to other users with FineCrypt
Communicator has been improved. New version supports mail server
authentication, setting message encoding, etc.

FineCrypt Schedule Manager makes it possible to perform
security tasks on your computer in fully automated mode. It allows you to
fully configure all the needed options for file encryption and secure file
deletion.

Now encryption and decryption with FineCrypt can be
performed from the command line. This makes it possible to use basic
FineCrypt's functionality from other applications such as scheduling or
scripting software.

FineCrypt 10 enables you to send
public encryption keys and encrypted files to other users of FineCrypt
not only with third-party email clients, but also directly from
FineCrypt which is much more simple and convenient. All the file
attaching and message formatting in this case is done automatically by
FineCrypt.
New features in version 9.1
The Task Manager has been added in
version 9.1.
Task Manager is a tool with which you can automate encrypting and secure
deleting files on your computer. With several mouse clicks you can
encrypt and/or wipe any number of files which can be located in
different folders or on different drives.
You can create schedules that contain any number of tasks, where each
task contains description of actions that must be performed on files.
If you need to perform frequently a certain set of actions, you can
define them in a schedule and store the schedule on the hard disk. In
this case you will be able to load the stored schedule and to perform
quickly complex tasks as frequently as you need.
New features in version 9.0

The Encryption Wizard has been added.

The maximum size for encrypted files has been
increased from 4 GB to 16 Terabytes (on NTFS file system).

The file manager has been totally redisigned.
New features in version 8.1
Due to numerous user requests, new version now enables you to
open FineCrypt archives and open files residing in them directly from CD-ROM,
CD-RW, and other similar media. (Note: with FineCrypt you can open
files on such media only in "READ-ONLY" mode.)
New
version has a built-in set of icons which you can assign to the
self-extracting archives you create. When creating SE archive just
press the "Icon" button in the "FineCrypt Extractor" dialog box and
choose an icon from the list. Also you still can provide your
own custom icon for self-extracting archive in a separate ".ico" file.
Some
changes have been made in the ArcViewer window.
"FineCrypt Extractor" dialog box has been redesigned.
New features
in version 8.0 (".NET"):

New
FineCrypt Communicator utility enables all the users of
FineCrypt to securely communicate with each other by email. Using
Communicator you can safely distribute over Internet your encryption
keys and encrypted files. For protecting your data Communicator uses
Public-Key Encryption scheme.

Key
Manager has been improved for working with public and private
keys which are used by FineCrypt Communicator.

Some minor
enhancements have been added, such as the option to remove FineCrypt's
submenu from the context menu, the option of opening files in Task
Manager for viewing their contents, etc.
New features in version 7.1:
In accordance with numerous
user requests new version makes it possible to provide your own icon for self-extracting
archives instead of default icon. To provide your icon when creating archive, click
"Settings" button in the "Self-extractor" dialog box and enter the
name of icon file.
FineCrypt's main window has
been enhanced with some new features. Among them such features as ability to change file
time (when file was created, modified, accessed), ability to apply file type filters to
display only those file types which you wish, and some other features. To see how looks

FineCrypt Key Manager: the convenient tool for managing encrypted files and encryption
keys which are residing on your computer. With Key Manager you can handle not only the
files which are encrypted with key, but also those ones that are encrypted with password. Screenshots.
Ability of encryption with session
keys: you can greatly simplify and speed up the process of encryption of files
using session keys (or session passwords). You can define key or
password which will reside in the computer memory during a certain period of time, and
this key or password will being automatically used for encryption. You can define a time
during which session key or password will be valid, and you can at any time securely wipe
off session key or password from the memory.
